Plans and Assessments

Collaborate Northeast develops annual work plans for each of its strategic initiatives based on current needs and resources. For more information on these strategic initiatives and work plans see the Community Engagement, Community Economy, and Community Environment pages of this site.

Collaborate Northeast has a Strategic Plan developed in 2019 to guide the formation and development of a Backbone Organization to facilitate implementation of the strategies, goals and activities outlined in the Northeast Wilmington Community Revitalization Implementation Plan. The strategic plan has undergone a continuous refinement process to accommodate current needs and resources as well as expanded opportunities. The ongoing strategy to capture this information and keep this plan current is to develop one year work plans for each strategic initiative.

The recommendation for forming this backbone comes from the 2019 Northeast Wilmington Community Revitalization Implementation Plan, which is the culmination of the Northeast Blueprint® Initiative’s planning process for Northeast Wilmington. It consolidates information from all previous planning studies and plans recently completed by the City of Wilmington into the three Strategic Initiatives used by Collaborate Northeast.

The 2017 Northeast Wilmington Community Revitalization Plan is the original product of the Northeast Blueprint® Initiative and its first to create a living, dynamic revitalization plan based on community input, but also to incorporate this first plan into a broad implementation plan, so that issues and solutions identified are acted upon accordingly.
